| IB² stands for International Business Bond - a network that allows current students and the University of Missouri-St. Louis international business alumni to form partnerships via an online platform. Students and alumni can interact on the platform via messaging, email, and forum and group discussions allowing all members to network collaborately. Students gain valuable insight from the knowledge and personal experience that the alumni possess and are wanting to share. In return alumni benefit from reconnecting with the UM-St. Louis student experience and gain the students' fresh perspectives of today’s international environment. New partner university in Mexico |

We are proud to pronounce that the International Business Institute has a new partner university in Mexico for the successful IMBA program – ITESM. Campus Monterrey, which gave birth to the 33 campuses that form the Tecnologico de Monterrey system, is characterized by its capacity to give students a solid academic formation, based on the learning of the latest methodologies and knowledge available, as well as on understanding, simulation and practice of existing conditions in the work environment. | In December of 2007, Park's Global Business School hosted a two day ‘Management Development Program (MDP)’ conducted by Dr. Allan Bird. Anusha Mahesh and Dr. Shankarmahesh had the pleasure and privilege of hosting Dr. Allan Bird, Eiichi Shibusawa Arai Professor of Japanese Studies and Director of the International Business Institute of the University of Missouri - St. Louis in Chennai. Dr. Bird conducted the two day MDP on “Successfully Managing Across Cultural Differences” at the Raintree Hotel, Chennai. The MDP was attended by corporate participants from Irevna.com, auto parts suppliers, as well as consultants to provincial governments and others. The event was well covered by the media. Key takeaways were Dr. Bird’s advice to managers to be open to the opportunities that differences create. In December of 2007, Park's Global also hosted a two day MDP conducted by Dr. Sumit Kundu, Distinguished Professor of International Business at Florida International University. Anusha Mahesh and Dr. Shankarmahesh played privileged hosts to Dr. Kundu whose topic was “Strategic Alliances.” Dr. Bird also interviewed and selected four Park's Global students who are expected to join UMSL’s IMBA program in the Fall of 2008. These four represent the first cohort of Indian students in the IMBA. |

The undergraduate program in international business at the University of Missouri - St.Louis has been ranked again as one of the best in the country by U.S. News & World Report for 2008. This year International Business Program is ranked #13. With the hiring of four new professors of international business, the quality and reputation of the program is expected to improve even more in the future. | |
