International Internship

Program Introduction
Students within an IB major can fulfill the International Experience requirement by completing an international internship program approved by the International Business Institute. The international internship program can be counted 3 credit hours at maximum. Students can look for international internship programs through various sources. AIESEC is one of such sources. AIESEC is the world's premiere international student organization dedicated to increasing cultural understanding and cooperation through running an international internship program. University of Missouri –St Louis is a Local Committee of AIESEC. By becoming an AIESEC member, students can get information of international internship and volunteering openings through AIESEC’s database.

How Will Participants Benefits
Students will have an opportunity to learn by working or volunteering in organizations abroad. Students will gain first-hand practical skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the current international business environment.

James Heckman, a recent IB graduate, is off in the surreal beauty of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Working for a Brazilian NGO, Feira Preta, James is busy putting his studies and skills he developed at UM – Saint Louis to the test. “Right now I am working on developing marketing and fundraising strategies for the organization.
