Mohamad K. Hasan, Ph. D., Kuwait University, Kuwait

Dr Hasan received a degree of Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Statistics from Alexandria University, Egypt, in 1978. He was awarded a degree of Master of Science in Mathematics from Texas A&M University, Texas, USA, in 1988, and a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Transportation Systems from Texas A&M University, Texas, USA, in 1991. Currently, he works as Associate Professor at Department of Quantitative Methods and Information Systems, College of Business Administration, Kuwait University, Kuwait. Since 1991 he has more than 25 papers. Dr Hasan will be at UM-St Louis on sabbatical for the academic year of 2009-2010, and will be collaborating with Dr Douglas Smith, professor of management science.

Ville-Pekka Mäkeläinen, Lic. tech., Seinäjoki University

Professor Mäkeläinen is a Professor of International Marketing at Seinäjoki University of Applied Science in Finland. He has a Lic. Tech. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Lappeenranta University of Technology. In addition to his work at Seinäjoki University, he also teaches at California Polytechnic State University and other universities in Europe as a visiting professor in international marketing. Professor Mäkeläinen is fluent in Finnish, English, German, Spanish and Swedish. He teaches business-to-business marketing at UM-St Louis.

   

Mei-Chu Ke, Ph. D., National Chin-Yi University of Technology, Taiwan

Dr Ke is a Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at National Chin-Yi University of Technology in Taiwan. She received her Ph. D. in Business Administration from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. Her research interests are market microsctructure, behavioral finance, corporate finance, financial economics and investment. She has engaged in several projects funded by National Science Council of Taiwan in the topics related to the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

   

Jian-Hsin Chou, Ph. D., National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology, Taiwan

Dr Chou is a Professor in the Department of Risk Management and Insurance at the College of Business Administration at National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology in Taiwan. He earned his Ph. D. in Business Administration from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. His research interests are bond market, term structure of interest rates, future markets, and security markets and portfolio management. He has done several projects funded by National Science Council of Taiwan in topics related to financial derivatives tools.
